The world hasn’t seen UFC former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey in the Octagon since her surprising knock out lost to Holly Holm last November at UFC 193.
UFC President Dana White said that Rousey’s return has been delayed due to a minor knee surgery.
"I'm hoping we're going to get Ronda back this year," White said on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” Thursday. “She actually … she just had surgery on her knee yesterday. Nothing serious, just get in there and scope it, clean it out a little bit."
Since Ronda’s knock out lost to Holly Holm at UFC 193 there was some speculation that Rousey would return at UFC 200 in July but Dana White denied these speculations and told she’ll return in November, 2016.
If Ronda will return in November than she will fight at UFC’s first show in New York at Madison Square Garden on November 12. But unlikely Ronda Rousey’s not able to return in November.
Dana White want whenever Rousey is healthy, she would return immediately and face UFC women’s champion at the time.
"If Miesha Tate's still the champion, she'll fight Miesha Tate, White said. “Whoever has the belt is whom Ronda Rousey will fight.
"Injuries happen in this sport, somebody falls out and somebody else slides in, I'm not even saying Holly Holm couldn't be the champion by the time Ronda comes back,” he continued. “Whoever holds that belt when Ronda's ready."
